This tap is the Die Cast ALU specialist, specifically designed for the mechanical tapping of aluminium with a high silicon content (Si > 10%).<br><br>This material is extremely abrasive. Therefore, this tap is ground: this surface treatment dramatically increases wear resistance and guarantees a long service life.<br><br>Characteristic of DIN 376 is the through-hole (reduced shank), ideal for reaching deeper holes. The spiral relief (form B) and 3.5-5 thread engagement cutting edge ensure effective chip removal for through holes.
