<p>Professional Phantom HSS Hand Taps Set (ISO 529), 2-piece, specifically for manually cutting Rc (BSPT) screw thread. This is a tapered (conical) pipe thread, essential for creating leak-proof connections. Made from high-grade HSS for reliable performance in steel.</p>
<p>This 2-step set consists of a pilot and a finishing tap to precisely build the conical profile. The taps differ by a short and medium lead, which effectively distributes the cutting load. The tap with the medium lead pre-cuts the profile, after which the tap with the short lead cuts the thread to the final, tapered size.</p>
