Professional Phantom HSS Hand Taps Set (ISO 529), 2-pieces, specifically for manually producing PG (Panzergewinde) screw thread. This thread profile is widely used in electrical engineering. Manufactured from high-grade HSS for reliable performance in general-purpose steel.

This 2-step set divides the cutting load, with both taps cutting the exact nominal end diameter. The taps differ in their short and medium lead-in. The tap with the medium lead-in (approx. 3-5 passes) centers and cuts the first pass. The tap with the short lead-in (approx. 1-2 passes) is essential for finishing and tapping close to the bottom of blind holes.
